Coaches can help bring about alignment in an organisation by helping coachees select goals that support the organisation’s vision. Communication of the vision is key, and technology can help build communities with shared visions.

ISTE explains that the coach should ‘act as a liaison between stakeholders to carry out the vision and solve problems. The stakeholders may include leaders, educators, instructional support, technical support, domain experts, and vendors who offer tools or professional learning for an educational audience. The coach should liaise with all stakeholders in order to maximise the potential of technology for learning..
For a coaching culture to be successful all stakeholders need to be aware of the vision. If stakeholders are using technology to embrace the vision, then greater success can be achieved through communication and collaboration. This includes the sharing of practice, knowledge of resources, shared professional development, and from lessons learned in utilising technology.
Microsoft Teams allows for the building of professional learning communities, where a vision can be shared and goals can be achieved through communication and collaboration. A coach needs to engage with these communities, and other online communities, in person and online, and ensure that thoughts are shared and that there is joined up thinking towards the organisation’s vision.
