Coaches should help organisations recognise and celebrate successful teaching, to help schools become learning organisations where staff are motivated to grow and develop. Teachers should now how and when to use technology effectively to enable high impact learning.

ISTE explains that the coach ‘should showcase educators and their classroom projects to serve as models for others. The educators being showcased should be using technology effectively to enable learning that is designed with student outcomes in mind, and where instruction is grounded in pedagogical research and the learning sciences.’
In other words, the coach should help showcase educators demonstrating effective teaching strategies involving technology, that are research and evidence based, in order that learning outcomes are achieved.
If staff are using technology in the classroom, there is a good chance they will have come across the Microsoft Learn platform, and may have heard about Microsoft Showcase Schools and the Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert (MIEE) programme. Staff that become MIEEs will have created a lesson or series of lessons involving effective use of technology and can showcase their achievements in their email signature, or share Microsoft PowerPoint slides showcasing strengths of individual educators on Teams. Coaches can help schools celebrate their MIEEs.
Coaches can also help organisations share good practice via Teams. Teams channels can be used to share professional development and good practice. Posts can include links to Stream where mini professional development sessions on use of technology have been recorded or links to Flip for educators to share insights into instructional strategies and technology integration
Coaches may also encourage connectedness and encourage educators to share best practice on platforms such as X and LinkedIn.
